Laguiole is a design icon that originates from the town of Laguiole, France which has been making products world famous for their craftsmanship, elegance and uniqueness since 1829.
The first items produced in the range were the traditional knives which were invented by combining the Capuchadou - a local fixed blade knife - and the Navaja - a Spanish pocket knife. This knife with it's unique shape fits perfectly into the palm of the hand.
Later designs included the addition of an awl and then a corkscrew, over time the migration of workers to Paris - to work as waiters and barman - saw the Laguiole become indispensable in this new field.
