This cooking pot is one of our best sellers from the Tierra Negra range, for a simple reason - they are versatile, are really tough and look great whether you're cooking or serving.

Ideal for: just about anything - especially, curries, chillies, casseroles and soups.

Choose from the 6 sizes we stock:

• 850ml, 20cm x 18cm x16cm
• 1.5 Litre,
• 2.5 Litre, 24cm x 20cm x 20cm
• 4 Litre,
• 6 Litre, 29cm x 28cm x 27cm
• 12 Litre, 38cm x 36cm x 35cm

All measurements are approximate as each pot is individually hand made.

All of the Tierra negra cookware and tableware can be used over any direct source of heat, it is safe to use both in the oven and on the hob – gas, electric, Aga or ceramic. It can also be used under the grill or in the microwave and can be washed safely in the dishwasher.

Before being used for the first time the cookware should be thoroughly cleaned with washing-up liquid and a sponge to remove any residues left after the firing process. Each piece should then be filled three-quarters full with water and placed in an oven for 30 minutes at 200˚C or Gas Mark 6. 

For best results pieces with a round base like the ones featured here should be used over a gas ring or open fire
