This ingenious watering device is based on an ancient design, believed to originate from Ancient Greece, and used since the 15th century to dampen down dust on stone or earthen floors and later adapted to sprinkle the flowers in medieval gardens.
Its gentle trickle of water (controlled by placing your thumb over the hole in the top) is perfect for tender seedlings and plants.
Made from glazed ceramic it has fine holes in the base and a top hole to control the water flow. Immerse in water to fill.
